Caroline is the founder and director of Sisters for Peace, a grassroots, nonprofit organization based in Western Massachusetts.

Sisters for Peace’s mission is to empower women, girls and those living in impoverished conditions locally and around the world.

Caroline is also an op ed columnist and writes about human rights and empowering women and girls living in poverty. Her articles include Girl Named Nisha and Hope for Lakota Children.

In addition to her humanitarian work, Caroline is writing her first book, a memoir of her firsthand experiences growing up in poverty. Excerpts of her work are available to read on her blog, www.carolinerwheeler.wordpress.com.
